National Libertarian vs National Totalitarian

Should Australia celebrate a single day—or an entire month? A libertarian and a totalitarian go head-to-head on national identity, governance, and the future of Australia.

Rationals, this episode of Rational Grounds is one for the history books!

In this episode i hosted a fiery debate between Dusty Bogan, a National Libertarian, and Bayden Duke, a National Totalitarian, on the future of Australia Day and whether we should expand it into an entire Australia Month in celebration and in retaliation to the narrative to abolish Australia Day all together.

They clashed on everything—from nationalism, government control, and cultural identity to woke politics and the role of tradition in modern Australia.

Dusty champions freedom, small government, and grassroots movements, while Bayden argues that taking control and strong state power is the only way to fix the chaos in our society.

If you've ever wondered how libertarianism and authoritarian nationalism stack up, or if you’re tired of the Australia Day debate and want a fresh perspective, this is the episode for you. We cover everything from Indigenous inclusion, the role of Anglo-Celtic heritage, and how to unite the right-wing movement in Australia.
